The man, the myth, the legend
Xiphos, a Greek short sword carried onto the battlefields of the ancient world, has been the name of this avid gamer for years. In EVE, I go by Andrius and can be seen roaming around 0.0 or harvesting some ice on my alt when I loose all of my ships. I write for ENN at the moment and also do my best to maintain this blog.
In life, I go by Andrew and currently live in the state of North Carolina. I hail from a town in suburbia outside of Boston, MA. I grew up there and love that city and everything about it. Loyal Red Sox fan? You bet. Crazy to the point of torching Yankees hats? No, in fact, a good friend of mine is a loyal Yankees fan from The Bronx. Moving on, I have been in the US Army for the past four years and am going to be terminating my time there once Uncle Sam gives me the thumbs up. A move to either Oregon, Washington, Massachusetts, or Ireland is planned for the near future (pending the .02 isk of the fiancee).
Once there I desire to go back to school in pursuit of a masters. After studying History at the University of Central Florida, I hope to continue to study history and foreign affairs at the graduate and PhD levels. Eventually, I want to teach at the college level and inspire generations of people to follow their dreams and use their talents to learn and live fulfilling lives. Sounds kind of cheesy, but yep, that is the plan! That and travel to places where people smile at you rather than try to shoot you
My fiancée, Nicole, and I met at Fort Bragg, NC, and hit it off instantly after a six hour date that was supposed to just be some coffee. I broke the golden rule and called her the day after I met her and almost slapped myself, until she offered to join me for a cup of joe. We dated, survived our deployments in tact, and I proposed to her outside of Portland, Oregon.
I began my writing career on a whim one day by submitting some work to a military journal. It was published and I decided to keep going. I started writing short stories and then hit up Massively for a job. Time constraints thanks to a promotion and a senior position in my unit (and one way above my pay grade) kept me from continuing and, alas, I had to leave. I started this blog shortly thereafter and have been finding ways to keep it up to date.
I hope you enjoy the site and take pleasure in reviewing the latest deaths cast down by Andrius (or upon him) in EVE and get more news than you could ever dream of. Keep checking back for tales of glory, news you can’t fly without, and plenty of shenanigans.

Myself and my better half
